About BONGOPEX - 2025
BONGOPEX-2025 is the 10th State Level Philatelic Exhibition organized by the West Bengal Postal Circle. The event is being conducted with the active support of Philatelic Societies and Associations from West Bengal, Sikkim, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The primary objective of BONGOPEX-2025 is to promote Philately and provide a competitive platform for philatelists at the state level. The exhibition’s organizing committee is headed by the Chief Postmaster General of West Bengal, Sikkim, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The exhibition is designed for everyone, from passionate philatelists to newcomers eager to learn the basics of stamp collection. It will feature a variety of activities, including workshops, seminars, letter writing events, and competitions, to inspire innovative minds.

Dear Philatelists and Enthusiasts,
With great excitement and pride, we invite you to the 10th West Bengal Circle-level Philately Exhibition- BONGOPEX 2025, scheduled to be held from November 14th to 17th, 2025 at the Science City, Kolkata.
Philately has exhilarated generations of hobbyists throughout the world. Millions of individuals engage themselves in the fascinating world of stamps in their pursuit of knowledge and the pleasure of collecting something unique. Philatelic exhibitions serve as a platform where stamp collectors, researchers, students, dealers and postal administrations come together to showcase the finest stamps and other philatelic products.
BONGOPEX 2025, our State-level Philatelic Exhibition, will be a true celebration of ‘Philately’. We have planned a variety of activities to inspire innovative minds to present their best exhibits, presentations and philatelic creations. The event is designed to cater to everyone-from those passionate about exploring the intricacies of ‘Philately’, to those seeking knowledge through seminars and workshops and even to newcomers eager to learn the basics of the world of stamp collection.
The exhibition will feature nearly 400 frames exhibiting diverse and rare collections of stamps alongside a variety of engaging activities such as workshops, seminars, letter writing events, sit and draw competitions, letter box painting competitions and competitions to showcase the colourful world of stamps. During the stamp exhibition, attractive philatelic ancillaries will also be launched. This Exhibition will aim in enriching children and youth with the knowledge of ‘Philately’, while dealers’ booths will offer opportunities to add new members to their valued collections.
BONGOPEX 2025 have been designed to make ‘Philately’ more attractive and captivating for the children and youth. From workshops and competitions to hands-on exhibits, the event will be a perfect opportunity for children and youth to step into a world beyond screens and social-media, where they would be able to unearth their creative potential and connect with a hobby that is regarded as the “King of Hobbies”.
We invite parents, teachers and guardians to encourage the younger generation to experience the joy of ‘Philately’.
BONGOPEX 2025 will be a platform for the young minds to embark upon the philatelic journey.

- A multi-colour Souvenir will be published, which will contain informative articles on philately, advertisements, and a list of participants.
- Special Covers, Cancellations, and other Philatelic Ancillaries will be released on all days of the exhibition.
